This page serves as a harmless validation artifact to help customers test DNS logging, firewall inspection, and analytic rule pipelines for Barracuda XDR. Visiting or resolving this domain should not trigger any security remediation and is intended for operational checks only.

  • Confirm DNS queries are logged and forwarded to your SIEM.
  • Validate firewall detection rules and alert routing.
  • Exercise end-to-end data pipelines safely.

Usage

Generate a DNS lookup and, optionally, an HTTP GET to this domain. Recommended variations:

  • A and AAAA queries
  • Wildcard subdomains (e.g., qa.validation.example.com)
  • Burst and steady-rate query patterns

Expected outcome: your monitoring system records the event and raises an informational alert.

Signal Metadata

To simplify identification, responses include a custom header X-Validation: Barracuda (optional, if served by your web server). You may also tag logs with validation=true at ingestion.
